May was a quiet month on the surface — no big feature launches — and a busy month underneath. We fixed bugs that had been around for a while, hardened the parts of Closo that touch your marketplace accounts, and made the extension noticeably more reliable. Here's the rundown.

eBay re-connects in the background
If you'd had to re-connect eBay every few weeks, that's fixed. A quiet bug meant we weren't recording when eBay's 2-hour login token would expire, so we never refreshed it. The extension is smarter about cookies
Behind the scenes, the extension now catches marketplace login cookies the moment they're issued rather than polling every few minutes. 3 more marketplaces refresh in the background
Until last week, only Vinted had automatic background refresh. Now Poshmark, Depop, and Mercari do too. This means you can go away from Closo for an afternoon and come back to all sessions still warm. Read more: /help/a/l4-browserrefresh-expansion-2026-05
Imports are faster and cleaner
The import pipeline got two backend hardenings: transactions wrap each batch so half-completed imports never leave duplicate-looking rows, and ownership checks catch mismatched marketplace responses earlier. Marketplace tokens moved to safer storage
We migrated your Closo API key and marketplace tokens from Chrome's synced storage (which copies to Google's cloud) to local-only storage. Tokens never leave your device through Google now. Same security model as before, smaller blast radius. Read more: /help/a/storage-migration-2026-05

Sellers with very large inventories load Crosslister faster
We reworked one slow query that was hitting 1000+ row closets. Page load is back to under a second for most accounts.
Vinted listings preserve emoji properly
If you wrote 🌸 or ✨ in your titles, they no longer get stripped on the Vinted side.
Onboarding emails actually arrive now
Our email infrastructure was rate-limiting transactional sends during peak signups. We fixed the throttle. Welcome emails arrive in seconds again.
Bulk delist on Mercari handles 50+ items gracefully
Previously a queue glitch would stall partway through. Now resumes automatically if interrupted.
What's coming next

Connection health redesign
The yellow/red marketplace badges are getting clearer language — 'we will refresh in 15 minutes' rather than 'status unknown.'
AI-assisted titles for hard categories
For shoes and handbags, Closo will optionally suggest titles tuned to each marketplace's search ranking. Opt-in, beta.
Better explanation of why a listing failed
Instead of 'listing failed,' you'll see 'Vinted rejected — title contained banned brand keyword.'
